Venture Quest Devlog for 9/16/2022 (Also an update to the public demo)


So here at Venture Softworks we have an internal devlog that is released every Friday detailing progress that had been made throughout the week. So here is what has been done so far:


ADDITIONS

  • Added MonsterDex descriptions to all enemies currently implemented
  • Finished the Cwc-ster Sidequest and all associated levels
  • Added a new achievement
  • Added a new boss via the Cwc-ster Sidequest


CHANGES

  • Updated nw.js for enhanced performance
  • Disabled several plugins for enhanced performance
  • Added extra detail to the northeastern desert continent


BUG FIXES/OTHER

  • Fixed a bug with switches not working as intended at the Dark Mansion
  • Fixed a bug with the sidequest “Bow and Out” not progressing as normal

Also a small note on the Public Demo, so there is a bug with one of the sidequests in the town of Celadonia, however at the time of this writing I won't be able to release a fix until next Monday, as I only work in the Venture Advancement Center offices from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM on Weekdays (minus federal holidays and such).  But luckily its a bug that doesn't hamper gameplay and isn't game breaking so that's good. Also the constant updating of the Public Demo means that features meant for a later demo/final release has been leaking in, meaning if I release an update to the public demo, all additions and some changes will be visible in the public demo such as enemy descriptions in the MonsterDex.
